After studying and working as a Veterinary Nurse in the UK for a number of years, Chloe decided she needed a new challenge and a change of scenery and started at Kippax Vet in May 2024.
Chloe has always wanted to visit Australia and experience veterinary practice in a different country. She has joined the team at Kippax on a working holiday, combining the two!
She is enjoying getting to know the team, clients and their pets as well as learning new techniques each day whilst using her free time to explore Canberra and surrounding areas.
Chloe has a particular interest in feline care and has completed an additional qualification in feline nursing. She herself has a beautiful black and white cat called Boo. Whilst Boo has stayed behind in the UK to keep Chloe's family company, she still gets to see her regularly thanks to video updates.
Emma-Jane was born in a small rural village in the Upper Hunter in NSW. She has always loved animals; her first ever pet was a beautiful rainbow lorikeet called Li-Lo. She was always fascinated with both wild and farm animals. Emma-Jane has always looked for opportunities to work with animals, At school she helped to feed the poddy calves, and she worked with horses and foals for her year 10 work experience. Although she originally moved to Canberra with her partner to study psychology her love for animals never left her and one day after rescuing a stray cat she realised it was time to follow her passion and work towards a Vet Nursing career. In June 2024 she completed her Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing and wants to work towards her vet tech degree. When she's not working it is common to find her curled up on the lounge with a book, a cup of tea and one of her beautiful cats, Aubergine or Oliver. She enjoys being out in nature exploring the many beautiful reserves Canberra has to offer and is always looking for a new place to eat.
