Yvette Douglas


Yvette has been at Kippax Vet since 2006. She spent most of her employment in the Police Force and the Community Sector. She loves working with animals; it has always been her dream job and she enjoys caring for your pets and seeing them become happy & healthy (and spoilt) members of your family. Yvette also runs a small cattery at her home; housing a small numbers of cats; providing personalised care and attention for all her “guests”. She has 3 cats; a ragdoll named Harmony and two moggies called Bouncer and Tedi.

Janine Lee

Receptionist - Diploma of Veterinary Nursing

Janine began working at Kippax in May of 2013. Originally from New Zealand, Janine moved to Australia in 2009. She has 10 years experience in nursing having worked in NZ, England and 3 states of Australia. Janine now lives here in Canberra with her Aussie partner Dave, their two cats Clarry & Harry as well as their monster terrier cross, Chester.

When not at work Janines interests include the gym, rugby union and sports in general; she also enjoys the odd cheeky glass of wine.


Lori McGrath

Receptionist - Certificate III Companion Animal Services, Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing.

Lori first began working with animals in 2011 with the Deakin Veterinary Clinic. In early 2014 she joined the team here at Kippax to work as a receptionist.
Her love for animas is evident in the number of pets she keeps at home. She has two gorgeous cats, Storm and Zali, as well as her two lovable dogs Willow and Chance, to keep her busy outside of work hours. 
In her downtime Lori enjoys just spending time with her son and daughter, family and friends.


Kerry Hooper


Kerry started working on reception at Kippax Vet in 2016. After 30 years in the public sector, she finally worked out what she wanted to do when she grew up and is loving working with all the people and critters at Kippax. Kerry has been fostered by a bunch of furred and feathered friends over the years and, with her husband Craig, is completely besotted by their cat Harry...aka Bad Harold, who unexpectedly came into their lives in 2015.

Rebecca Vearncombe


Originally from Wales, Bec moved to Australia in 2009. She joined the team at Kippax Vet in February 2015. Bec completed her Cert III in companion animal services in 2014 and is currently studying her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing at CIT. In 2015, Bec travelled to Thailand for 3 weeks to help care for elephants and stray cats and dogs. Bec plans to travel to volunteer at many other animal sanctuaries around the world. She has a crazy cat named Oscar who she adopted as a little kitten and is spoilt rotten. In her spare time, Bec loves to take Oscar for walks and adventures on his lead, as well as curling up on the couch watching the latest gossip show.
